High Adventure Ranch is Dedicated to Educating Youth Hunters

Cook Station, MO (June 2009)—As any hunting enthusiast knows, a first hunt is always one to be remembered, whether it be a good or a bad experience. Bagging that first trophy is something that will be cherished for years. Because that first hunting trip can be extremely influential on how an individual perceives the sport of hunting, High Adventure Ranch offers youth hunting trips that are designed to teach a young hunter to love the sport.

Getting youths involved in hunting and introducing new hunters to the challenges, enjoyment and thrills of the sport of hunting is very exciting to High Adventure Ranch. High Adventure Ranch is a big game hunting ranch nestled in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in Missouri.

“A child’s first hunt is extremely important because it can instill a love of the sport. We want to make sure that every first time hunter comes away with a positive experience. It is for this reason that our guides are dedicated to an educational trip. Plus our exclusive No Game, No Pay policy will ensure that the trip is successful. It is our hope that by hunting at High Adventure Ranch, youths will learn to truly appreciate the joys of hunting,” said Charles Puff, Owner of High Adventure Ranch.

High Adventure Ranch takes the time to explain the hunting process to youths. The seasoned hunting guides explain the special characteristics of a specific animal and answer any questions that a young hunter may have. The guides consider it their duty to discuss animal habitat, the effect of a clean environment on wildlife in the future, gun safety and hunting safety. It is the guide’s job to make the entire process educational and comfortable for the young hunter.

“My son Steve’s first out of state Whitetail hunt turned out to be perfect,” said John Vandenboom, who brought his son Steve to High Adventure Ranch. “I imagined all sorts of worse-case scenarios like shooting penned deer or the guide rushing you to make a kill.  What a relief that Steve’s guide, Bart, was a perfect match for his personality.  We were never ever hurried and it seemed like Bart's number one job was for us to have a great experience.”

High Adventure Ranch believes in treating everyone the same, from a child hunting for the first time to a handicapped hunter in a wheelchair to an experienced 72 year old hunter. They believe in making memories that will last a lifetime.
